In Aion, the name of the game is to make as much Kinah as possible to buy all the rare goodies and armor you need to compete when it comes time to lay into your opponents in the Abyss. However, making that Kinah can be a trying endeavor – one that takes a great deal of time and energy, even for those that know exactly how to do it. So, to help get people started, here are the three fundamentals of Kinah making in Aion:

1.	Farming and Gathering

The first thing you will be doing, no matter what profession you choose or what method of making Kinah you prefer, is to farm and extract from the gathering nodes located throughout the game. These nodes will be available to anyone who has leveled up their skill and purchased the necessary upgrades. It is recommended that everyone do this to keep from having to pay for the materials from other farmers. Additionally, you will be able to get rare procs and to farm on rare or named mobs while out there gathering. These mobs can drop any number of items that are worth a tremendous profit in the Trade Broker.

2.	Crafting

The next section of Kinah making is crafting itself. There are six primary crafting professions including Alchemy, Armorsmithing, Cooking, Tailoring, Handicrafting, and Weaponsmithing. Any character can choose from all 6 of these, but you can only master one of them at a time. This means that you will only gain access to the highest level recipes from one of them by the time you are Level 50. You should level up your professions with work orders to save Kinah and time, and then work on developing your recipe stash by farming in the Abyss.

3.	Private Store and Trade Broker

There are two ways to sell items – either with your private store directly to other players or with the Trade Broker, an in-game auction house of sorts. The best way to do this is to specialize in one type of item for your private store and then focus on finding a good location and good strategy for selling those items. Sell everything else in the Trade Broker so that you can you focus on the proper buy low and sell high strategy for that venue.

For those that successfully combine these three tenets of the Aion economy, the game is that much easier to master. For everyone else, it becomes a matter of guessing the basics of the game and hoping that they reward you with Kinah. The choice of which method works best should be obvious.

There are 6 different crafting professions in Aion, and all 6 provide something valuable in their own right to those who know how to take advantage of them. The best way to approach the crafting process is to know ahead of time which profession will work for you and then to throw all of your energies into it, rather than trying to do three or four professions at once. It will allow you more control over your resources and also a better grip on the process of developing your stash of Kinah when you reach level 50.

•	Alchemy – Alchemists will focus on crafting items like spellbooks, orbs, manastones and scrolls for casters. They also make potions for instance running. Those who are casters will benefit most here though, when you reach the higher levels and end-game content, you can get a tremendous boost by having this profession.

•	Armorcrafting – Armorcrafters make Chain and Plate armor which benefits all Warriors and Chanters in the game. If you are one of those classes, this profession is for you. If you are any other class, you can still make Kinah with it, but only at the end game level most of the time.

•	Cooking – Cooks will make food with stat boosts for end-game content. You will find that a good place to sell this is in the Abyss or near instance entrances.

•	Handicrafting – Handicrafters make odds and ends including necklaces, earrings, and trinkets. They also make staves and bows. A lot of Kinah can be made here on those baubles.

•	Tailoring – Tailors make the cloth gear in this game. Cloth wearing classes should consider this profession along with anyone interested in the long grind to 399 where they can sell them.

•	Weaponsmithing – Weaponsmiths can make weapons for every class except for the Staff users. You’ll be able to make a nice profit here once you reach Level 50 due to the high demand for this type of gear.

For those that choose properly and then market their crafts effectively, the prospect of the right profession can not only help them make Kinah, but save a great deal of it as well as they reach end-game content, where most crafts have the greatest impact.

Ultimately, make sure to choose a profession that will directly benefit your class as well as your play style. The end-game Kinah benefits are all going to come later but they are just as viable.

The Private Store is a unique and highly valuable tool that Aion players need to get used to and ultimately master if they are going to develop the Kinah they need to be at the top of their game. There are a number of ways to go about doing this. However, the most important thing to remember is that without a centralized location as with an auction house or the Trade Broker, you must do a lot of the hard work in selling your goods and getting attention. If you can become a good merchant with highly desired products and good prices, you will be much more successful than most other merchants in the game.

Location

Finding a good location for your Private Store is an absolute must. To start with, you need to choose a hotpot that will allow you to target very specific items that your customers will want. For example, if you set up shop outside of an instance, you can sell those particular players the alchemy and cooking items they need to run that instance. If you set up shop next to a quest NPC who requires a certain item, you can make a great profit from buying and reselling that item to those players. Just make sure wherever you set up shop is full of your ideal customers.

The Right Prices

If you meet a demand, you can usually ask for a larger profit from your items, but you will need to be careful not to gouge anyone out of their Kinah. Even if you get away with it, most players will eventually recognize they got a bad deal and make a point of not going back to you for further products. You want to develop a reputation for fair pricing, not opportunistic gouging.

How to Market

You can set a message for your store, but make sure it represents you and what you have to offer. Be specific and describe benefits players might get from dealing with you as opposed to other players. Additionally, make sure not to resort to badmouthing other players or to spamming the chat channels to draw attention. These things all fail to work more times than not.

Gaining Kinah in Aion is a multi-faceted process that starts and ends with a good Private Store. Set up in a good location with solid prices and a good marketing strategy and you will ultimately do very well for yourself, above and beyond what you might expect from your fellow players.

There are a number of ways to go about making solid Kinah profits in Aion, but one of the most commonly cited and one that you will likely need to take advantage of yourself eventually is the hunting of mobs. There are a large number of different kinds of mobs to hunt and different reasons to hunt them. Here is a breakdown of how the process works and how it will benefit you.

The Different Forms of Mobs to Hunt

There are three different mobs of note to hunt. There are the Elites, the Rares, and the Named Mobs. Mobs can be Named and not Elite or Rare and they can be Elite without being Rare or Named. But, generally, if a mob is rare, they are both named and elite. The important factor here is that most of these mobs will drop a much greater set of loot and items than the standard mobs you’re used to farming on.

And to top things off, the Balaur mobs in the Abyss can be all three of these things, plus they drop higher amounts of experience as well as a greater number of rare items, plus Abyss points that can be used later in the game for a variety of different things.

What You Can Gain

The primary thing you will gain from mobs that are higher level s or rare than others is green and blue gear. You might even find a few mobs that drop even higher level gear (though it is exceptionally rare). These items, along with the crafting materials that many mobs will drop, can be worth a tremendous profit in the Trade Broker or for a crafter who will take them and flip them into valuable goods.

Balaurs for Cash

As you see, hunting Balaur mobs will be the most profitable of any of these because of the added drops that come with the Abyss. The biggest problem of course is that this region is also a PvP zone which makes it hard to get time to yourself to maximize the speed at which you farm.

However, ultimately, if you spend your time in the Abyss, taking control of fortresses to get the rare recipes, and farming on the Balaur there, you will gain Kinah, rare items, rare materials, and Abyss Points, all of which can be turned into cold hard wealth in game. This is by far the most efficient and profitable way to go about loading up on what you need to be competitive in Aion.

I have been seeing a lot of new Aion guides hit the market these days. They come in all shapes and forms and while the first few rounds of them were almost all leveling guides, the recent trend is for Kinah guides. I was never a fan of early release currency guides because they tend to give you a bunch of farming locations that won’t work in three weeks. So, with the Aion Kinah Guide, the newest one of these guides located at AionKinahGuide.com, are we getting yet another early release scam or is it the real deal?

Analyzing the Guide

To start with, let’s take a look at what the Aion Kinah Guide promises. It doesn’t promise the moon like so many other guides. It’s pretty to the point and showcases mostly methods to utilize the in-game systems like the Private Store and Trade Broker for Kinah rather than to load up on farming locations.

That’s not to say that it doesn’t provide plenty of good farming locales, but they tend to be fewer than the number of crafting and hunting strategies. To me, this is a great thing. This is not a farming game. It is a crafting and trading game. That was how it was designed and that is how it should be played. Everyone can farm their own materials and mobs are almost all centralized in the Abyss when it comes to rare, valuable items, so what point is there in farming out in the other zones?

How Does it Work?

So, when I started putting these strategies into effect, I didn’t expect too much, but I was a little excited because it was the kind of Kinah guide I was looking for. And boy was I ever satisfied with the end result.

After spending about three days playing with this guide, I had already made over 5 million Kinah. That was at Level 42 and now I’m drawing in well over that with far less work. The truth about this guide is that it does everything it says it will and it does it all extremely well. If you’re serious about being a high level in-game trader and crafter in Aion, then the Aion Kinah Guide is the only resource you should have on your desktop.

So, there is a new Kinah guide on the market. It’s been sitting there waiting for me to read it for the past three days now and I didn’t really get to it until last night, when I realized that the rain was not going to let up any time soon. Let’s just say this – boy am I ever glad that it kept raining, because otherwise I might not have stumbled upon what is clearly the best and brightest new Kinah guide on the market…by far.

So, what’s the big deal about this Kinah guide as opposed to the rest of the guides that hit the market seemingly every month? To start with, this guide doesn’t try to walk that fine line between telling you how the game works and actually providing useful information about the game. Rather, it focuses on how to get your characters into position to make some serious Kinah and then shows you how to do it.

What You Get

The guide focuses largely on crafting and then on some basic hunting and gathering to get the materials you need to sell or craft with. It then tells you exactly what you need to focus on when it comes to getting your character up to the necessary levels in the game. From the most basic, simplistic style of play that has you out there gathering fish and ore, to the high risk high gain world of rare proccing Legendary gear, the guide shows you pretty much everything you need to make Kinah effectively.

To be fair, it doesn’t cover as many farming spots as I would like, but the guide has already been updated once and promises to continue updating as more locations open up later in the game, beyond those first few levels.

The Bottom Line

Here’s the deal – the Aion Kinah Guide is easily the biggest and best looking new Kinah guide on the market. I made some solid profits on day one and am still reviewing the text in the guide to see what else I can pry out of it. With a couple of updates and a patch or two to the game, this thing will be near unbeatable.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve grown a bit tired of the constant flow of new guides that seems to hit the Internet whenever a new MMO is released. When the game is first released, it is usually days or even weeks before a god guide is released and that makes it much harder for the casual player to find a guide that actually works, rather than being filled with beta information and broken tips.

So, the release of the Aion Kinah Guide didn’t necessarily excite me right away. Luckily, I continued to read beyond the title page and found that one of the first truly useful guides for Aion may have finally hit the market. For that reason, I want to share with you what I’ve found and how it might be able to help you play this game better.

To start with, the Aion Kinah Guide, is written by someone who knows this game well. They have been playing it for a while and have spent a lot of time farming in the game. I’ll be frank and say that I wish there were more Abyss tips in here, but I can imagine, coming off the beta that that they will be released in due time. No one had gotten much time in the Abyss before official release afterall.

And honestly, it doesn’t really matter because the rest of this guide does everything it needs to do and much more. From showing the basics of every craft, lists of high level crafts to make Kinah with, enchantment stones, manastones, coin quests, named mobs to hunt, and much much more.

Making Kinah in this guide is not the same as it is in other MMOs and the Aion Kinah Guide doesn’t pretend that it is. Rather, the author focuses on what actually works in Aion, while showing you exactly what you need to do to boost your Private Store and Trade Broker efforts to the levels needed for those millions to start rolling in. My opinion? This guide is definitely worth your time.
